Privacy policy

SpoofShield is operated by Tristin Von Gunten in Hallandale Beach, Florida.

The free check

The check runs in your browser. To read public DNS records it sends the domain names involved to Cloudflare's public DNS (cloudflare-dns.com) and, if that fails, Google Public DNS (dns.google). We do not receive or store the domains you check. Cloudflare and Google handle those lookups under their own privacy policies.

Forms you send us

If you submit a form, we receive what you type (such as your name, email, phone, business name and domain) plus the grade shown on your report. We use it only to reply to you and deliver the service you ask for. Forms are stored by our hosting provider, Netlify.

Payments

We invoice by email. We keep your name, business name, email, phone, the domains you list and whether the invoice is paid. If you pay by card, the card processor handles the card; we never see the full number.

Customer work

When we set up or monitor a domain, we read its DNS records and the DMARC reports that email providers send about it. Those reports describe which servers sent email using your domain; they don't include message content.

What we don't do

We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't run advertising trackers on this site.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep customer records while you are a customer and as long as tax and accounting rules require afterwards. To see or delete what we hold about you, reply to any email you have received from us.
